Economic Impact of Volunteers

The responses from seven hundred ninty-three (793) organizations reflected the total estimated value for services provided by volunteers at $410,146,312. I f the state had to fund the jobs to provide the services now being provided by volunteers, an additional $6,440,466,752 in personal income would have to have been generated. Arkansas' economy would have required an increase of 9.73 percent in 2003 to achieve this amount of general revenue.
